Transitional
Challenge
Transitioning from a therapeutic experience to independence.
If you are successfully graduating from a therapeutic program, a great
deal of love, energy, finances and hard work are at high risk. Research
demonstrates that nearly 90% of those transitioning from a therapeutic
experience eventually return to some form of treatment. At Novus,
we facilitate transitions from safe and controlled environments that
build on and integrate the caring hard work the family has already undergone.
Transitioning from the home to independence.
As young people become excited for the transition from the home, gaps
often reveal themselves as efforts come up empty handed. Sometimes
these gaps are seen in poor grades, difficulty managing money, a hard
time connecting with others or an increase in drug and alcohol use.
Parents rely on what once were effective ways of support but are no longer
applicable to the needs of the transforming young adult. The young
adult and the parents need support.
Growing to be an empowered young person requires
hard work and constant attention. We had mentors through the centuries
to support young people through life’s challenges. At Novus we
provide interactive support and guidance to empower everyone in the family
system in ways that last a lifetime.
